Kroenke Sports, LiveNation Cancel 2007
CityLights Season

Kroenke Sports Enterprises and Live Nation Concerts jointly announced that no concerts will be held at CityLights Pavilion during the 2007 summer season.

“A number of logistical issues will make CityLights Pavilion very difficult to operate over the next two summers,” Kroenke Sports executive vice president Paul Andrews said. “The fan experience needs to be at a high standard or it is not worth doing.”

The 2007 mid-summer run of Cirque du Soleil’s “Corteo” and the 2008 Democratic National Convention, which are both being held on Pepsi Center property, are expected to bring thousands of additional people to the grounds on which CityLights Pavilion also is located. Kroenke Sports and Live Nation have jointly owned and operated the 4,500-seat open air concert venue for the past four summers.
